Amazing Lenticular Cloud Pictures

Lenticular Clouds

Lenticular clouds or rather known as (Altocumulus lenticularis) are stationary clouds that form at high altitudes and are usually aligned at around 90 grades to the wind direction. The lenticular clouds can be further divided into

  • Altocumulus Standing Lenticularis (ACSL)
  • Stratocumulus Standing Lenticular (SCSL)
  • Cirrocumulus Standing Lenticular (CCSL)

Unfortunately the lenticular clouds are quiet rare, so you can’t really find a travel guide or organized travel packages to visit an area that has dense number of different lenticular clouds in form and shapes, however there are some areas where these beautiful phenomena happen more often. But in meanwhile, enjoy the bellow gallery of lenticular clouds.
